1. Product Introduction

Bioway Arbutin Powder is naturally extracted from bearberry leaves or bearberries. Crush and wash bearberry leaves, add water to boil, extract twice, combine water extracts and concentrate under reduced pressure to syrup, then add methanol to dissolve, filter out methanol insoluble, and recover methanol under reduced pressure to obtain arbutin glycosides. If it is decolorized with activated carbon in water, filtered, and recrystallized, the pure product of arbutin powder can be obtained.

Arbutin is an active substance originating from natural plants which can whiten and lighten skin. Arbutin can infiltrate into the skin quickly without affecting the concentration of cell multiplication and effectively prevent the activity of tyrosinase in the skin and the forming of melanin. By combining arbutin with tyrosine, nase, decomposition, and drainage of melanin are accelerated, splash and fleck can be got rid of and no side effects are caused.

Alpha-arbutin is similar to beta-arbutin, which can inhibit the production and deposition of melanin, and remove pigmentation and freckles. Studies have shown that α-arbutin can inhibit tyrosinase activity at relatively low concentrations, and its inhibitory effect on tyrosinase is better than β-arbutin. But alpha-arbutin is about 8 times more expensive than beta-arbutin.
